Miss Ali LaRock is a visual artist and teaching artist. She is originally from New Town, ND. She received her BFA in painting from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
Ali has worked as a visiting teaching artist in many schools in the Bismarck-Mandan area, where she shares the creative process with students and teaches a variety of techniques and mediums and collaborates with educators to integrate art into the curriculum. This is her third year working with students from Christ the King Catholic Montessori School. As a teaching artist she has partnered and worked with organizations such as the North Dakota Council on the Arts, International Music Camp, Northern Plains Dance, and Sleepy Hollow Summer Theatre and Art.
Ali exhibits her artwork on a regular basis. She is a founding and active member of the Bismarck Downtown Artist Cooperative, where much of her art is on display. Her work can also be found at the Toasted Frog in Bismarck and the Hotel Donaldson in Fargo.
In addition to making art Ali enjoys spending time with her daughter, especially being in nature, playing with their cats, and reading together.
